Since its formation in 2002, the Belfield Furnishings Group has become one of Europe’s largest and most successful upholstered furniture, bedding, curtains and soft furnishings suppliers, working with some of the UK’s leading High Street retailers. With the expertise and resources to develop new markets, Belfield’s success looks set to continue.
January 2002
The Belfield Group is established, with its Ilkeston caravan division supplying furnishings and interior packages for static, tourer and park homes.
April 2002
Textiles, upholstery and bed divisions are added, adjacent to the caravan division, extending marketing opportunities and utilising core competences and contacts of the senior management team.
April 2004
The Belfield Group sets up its own foam manufacturing capability. As well as supplying the group with its own in-house requirements, Duflex Foam establishes itself as a significant player in the external market.
Duflex now supplies Visco elastic and Memory Foam to furniture manufacturers and Industrial & Packaging markets.
July 2004
The Belfield Group acquires the trading and assets of furniture manufacturer Millcroft in South Wales.
October 2004
The Belfield Group sets up a greenfield site in North Wales at a 100,000 sq. ft. factory - Westbridge Furniture. Westbridge Furniture commences trading, supplying white label upholstered furnishings to key UK retailers.
April 2005
A retail bed division is established in Ilkeston, again working with some of the UK's leading High Street retailers.
July 2005
Acquired the trading assets of Deeside from Christie-Tyler.
